My name is Sophia Ochs and I am an artist from the Tacoma area. I studied at Tacoma Community College during high school and graduated with my associates degree. Then I got my Bachelor's degree in visual communications at Seattle Pacific University. During college I studied graphic design, typography, print media, interactive media, and motion graphics. I also participated in a design internship which focused on professional networking and print design. The experience that I gained from my time in university has allowed me to bring my design skills to the next level. My interest in design began when I was young. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for drawing and creating art. As I grew older, my interest in the arts has led me to pursue a career as a graphic designer. In my free time, I enjoy drawing both digitally and with pencil on paper. My hobby has given me practice in creating appealing compositions and color schemes which is carried over into my design work as well. I am drawn to design because it can be used as a powerful tool to communicate information and ideas to others.
